Our client is a public sector organisation operating from their headquarters based in Blackburn, and they are actively searching for two service desk analysts to join their award-winning team. These roles are available due to internal development as the team is now expanding therefore, seeking support on a 12-month FTC basis. This is a great opportunity to develop and gain new skills, with a view to be a permanent member of staff.
Your new role
Reporting to the Service Desk Manager and joining a team of 7 Service Desk Analysts and Engineers, you will be responsible for providing a high level of IT support in a reactive environment, working with end users across multiple sites providing both remote and on-site support. This is a very customer focused role, where strong customer service and relationship management skills are required, and you will provide support to staff both in the office and remotely. You will manage iing Service Desk requests which could relate to hardware and software, subsequently troubleshooting and resolving these incidents effectively so that the workload of the employees isn't impacted. The incidents you will support with will be across a huge range of technologies, therefore giving you the opportunity to further develop your technical knowledge and receive additional training. In addition to this, you will be responsible for the installation of hardware and software, with some of this being unique to the public sector, and you will also be required to procure and purchase IT equipment for use across all sites.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will possess Service Desk or IT Support experience, having provided both first and second line support either remotely or on site. You will have a very proactive approach to handling IT issues, with a passion for developing your own knowledge and further developing your skills. The ability to build relationships with end users, as well as excellentmunication skills, is also essential due to the level of end user contact you will have on a daily basis.

The salary for this role is £25,119 - £27,000 with additional benefits which include 26 days plus bank holidays and flexible working hours - ranging between 07:00–18:00 across a hour working week.
