Technical Coordinator required to join a premium House Builder based at their modern headquarters in Doncaster.
Our client is an established premium Home Builder with exciting growth plans owing to multiple new sites across the Yorkshire and Midlands regions. Buying and living in one of our client's homes is something unique for their customers.
The Technical Coordinator will be part of the Pre-Development team which includes Land, Planning, Design, Engineering, Viability, and Pre-Construction. You will be responsible for providing support to the project and technical design team in the planning, coordination, and design functions on each allocated project from tender to post-contract.
Responsibilities of the Technical Coordinator role:
1. Manage all external consultants for the scheme to ensure fully complete, correct, and coordinated packages of information are issued to Commercial and Production teams.
2. Maintain and deliver in accordance with Company values and client expectations.
3. Manage subcontractor and supplier design approvals ensuring timely turnaround.
4. Monitor all subcontractor design approvals and keep updated approvals schedule in line with build programme.
5. Manage the flow of information to the Surveyors, Buyer, Production, and client for the schemes.
6. Assist the Managers in compiling the pre-construction phase plan.
7. Update and coordinate all monthly Technical schedules, such as the bond, adoption, and utilities reports.
8. Review and coordinate design and technical-related issues with the Production Team.
9. Be the principal technical contact during the construction works.
10. Monitor work executed on-site to ensure that it is benchmarked and designed/specified.
11. Manage, investigate, and respond promptly with full close out to RFIs from site team and subcontractors.
12. Ensure all principal designer CDM documentation is up to date for the role of PD under the CDM regulations.
Skills and experience for the Technical Coordinator:
1. Relevant experience within architectural design.
2. Strong understanding of contracted development processes.
3. Experience of managing external consultants of multiple disciplines to ensure a robust technical approach.
4. Experience of securing NHBC (and other similar warranty providers) approval to schemes, ensuring provision of warranty to client satisfaction.
5. Coordination of the pre, during, and post-development stages of development support to ensure the smooth operation of a site.
Your salary reviewed each year starting at between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus the following benefits:
