Are you a motivated and enthusiastic small animal vet looking for your next challenge? An opportunity has opened at Seafield Veterinary Practice for a confident and capable all-rounder who strives for high clinical standards in general practice. The role will be based primarily from our Keith branch but we are a three branch practice with branches in Banff and Buckie so on occasion we may need some cover in these clinics.
The role involves a mix of consulting, operating, and inpatient management. We tend to see a fair share of soft tissue surgeries and do quite a bit of dental work. We have a vet in Banff with an interest in ortho and currently undergoing a surgery certificate, and we internally refer as often as we can. Although it is mostly only small animal, Buckie does occasionally deal with some exotics.
While some experience is preferred, it is not essential as mentorship will be provided to the right candidate. We are expanding our practice to meet high demand and complement our well-equipped team. We welcome applications from consult-only vets, surgical-only vets, or those who enjoy a combination of both.
Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career.
Our Keith Branch is open 8:00am - 6:00pm and could offer working hours within this time, be it 4 or 5 days. We are flexible and willing to adjust to a 4- or 5-day pattern and hours to suit both parties. We have vets working varying hours across the board but ideally, we would like a minimum of 4 days until 6 pm where possible with a share in 1 in 4 Saturdays and has no out of hour requirement.
About Seafield Vet Group: The hub of our RCVS Accredited Practice, centrally located in Keith, is equipped with a comprehensive range of diagnostic and surgical tools, enabling our team to maintain high standards of care. We operate three branches in the area, all boasting a dedicated client base that is 50% insured and eager to engage in thorough case workups.
