What the Job Involves As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing fleet vehicles, plant, and equipment. Your duties include periodic maintenance, assessing accident damage, ordering parts, testing roadworthiness, supporting roadside recovery, and testing electric vehicles safely. You will liaise with various departments to ensure service delivery meets operational requirements, maintain workshop safety and compliance, and provide diagnostic investigations and technical information. You will work in alternating weekly shifts, covering breakdowns and repairs throughout Conwy County boundaries, while ensuring all health and safety practices are in place. Skills Level 3 NVQ Light Motor Mechanics or equivalent HGV level 2 maintenance or level 3 plant equipment qualifications Understanding of Health and Safety in the work environment Competence in the use of diagnostic equipment Ability to maintain and repair electrical vehicles Effective communication skills in English Experience with fleet maintenance tools Ability to work in different weather conditions Proficiency in manual handling Must provide own comprehensive toolkit
