Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgeon to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive surgical expertise and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves performing surgical procedures, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to clinical research initiatives. The Surgeon will play a vital role in enhancing patient outcomes and advancing healthcare practices within our institution.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct surgical procedures with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
2. Evaluate patients’ medical histories and perform thorough pre-operative assessments.
3. Collaborate with anaesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
4. Provide post-operative care and monitor patients for complications or recovery progress.
5. Participate in clinical research projects aimed at improving surgical techniques and patient care.
6. Educate patients and their families about treatment options, procedures, and post-operative care.
7. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
8. Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of advancements in surgical practices.
Requirements
1. Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of a recognised surgical residency programme.
2. Valid medical licence to practice as a Surgeon.
3. Proven experience in performing surgeries across various specialisations; experience in ICU, public health, or home care is advantageous.
4. Strong knowledge of medication administration, medical imaging, and patient care protocols.
5. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
6. Ability to work under pressure in high-stress environments while maintaining attention to detail.
7. Commitment to providing compassionate care in settings such as nursing homes, hospice care, or senior care facilities is preferred.
