There is an opportunity for an individual to join the unscheduled care management team at Withybush Hospital, for a 4 month interim period. The post is for a Service Delivery Manager at Withybush hospital. This post is a SDM for WGH Site and a strategic lead for Stroke and Care of the Elderly specialties for the Health Board. The post holder will support the Withybush Hospital triumvirate management team in the delivery of what will be predominantly unscheduled care services. Reporting directly to the Hospital General Manager the post holder will assume operational responsibility for managing and improving unscheduled care pathways and taking the healthboard wide lead on stroke and care of the elderly (COTE). Main duties of the job The post holder will be an aspiring leader and will under direction of the Hospital General Manager co-ordinate emergency and non-elective clinical service provision and medical specialties across their designated site and show innovation in supporting service improvement initiatives. The post holder will lead and work with colleagues at many levels through a service improvement journey, bringing a degree of credibility to the planning ambitions of the teams. The post holder will hold delegated responsibility for delegated budget for unscheduled care and will deliver a balanced budget at year end or alternatively agreed position. The post holder will be involved in leading corporate projects. The post holder is also expected to participate in a silver On-Call rota for the organisation and deputise for the Hospital General Manager where required.
