Oxclose Community Academy, part of Laidlaw Schools Trust, is seeking a Cover Supervisor to provide classroom supervision in the absence of teachers. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a school setting—perfect for aspiring teachers or those with a passion for working with young people.
The main role of a Cover Supervisor is to supervise classes across a range of subjects, ensuring students follow the teacher’s lesson plan. This key individual will maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe, respectful learning environment, they will also provide students with necessary support to complete tasks but not actively teach or assess work.
We are looking for an individual who is confident in managing groups of students in a classroom setting. This individual will have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to follow instructions and enforce school policies. They will also be professional, responsible and able to work independently.
