Job Overview:
Arm’s Central Emulation team is thrilled to work with industry-experienced emulation experts in Cambridge who will collaborate with design and verification engineers globally to support outstanding compute subsystems and SoC projects.
Arm is hiring a team to develop silicon demonstrators based on Arm’s IP compute sub-system solutions targeting premium mobile, infrastructure, automotive, and IoT markets. Using the latest technology nodes and new SoC 3D packaging developments, Arm’s ambition is to demonstrate industry best-in-class performance by architecting, designing, implementing, and fabricating powerful silicon test chips. This initiative brings innovative talent and expertise from across the semiconductor industry to drive how the next generation of leading compute on Arm devices are built, opening up significant potential for the future.
Responsibilities:
* Work with end users to understand system use cases to guide validation on emulation.
* Engage in an exciting emulation world of hybrid, virtual solutions, and industry-standard high/low speed IO IPs based subsystems integrated into SoC.
* Contribute from early architecture and design inputs to pre-silicon validation and post-silicon readiness on emulation.
* Drive the pre-silicon story of emulation across entire SoC teams.
* Ensure quality and debuggability are built into the design through early engagement with the design team.
* Support architecture, verification, system validation, performance, power, and DFT teams with insights from performance & power characterization to guide future improvements.
* Write tests, build bare metal drivers for industry-standard IO IPs, and enable frameworks for reusable and scalable testing from pre-silicon platforms to many ASIC projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Good experience in pre-silicon validation and emulation/FPGA based platforms.
* Experience in developing C/C++/SystemC tests in HDL-HVL co-emulation platforms.
* Familiarity with IO bus protocols such as I2C, SPI, USB, and/or PCIe.
* Experience with debugging tools for systems-on-chip (SoCs) - e.g., JTAG, Trace32.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
* Knowledge of ASIC design flow and ASIC prototyping flow.
* Knowledge of SystemC/C/C++ and UVM/SV verification languages.
* Experience in domains such as PCIe, Flash, Memory, CPU, GPU, DRAM.
* Experience with emulation tool chains like Zebu, Veloce, Palladium.
In return, you will be provided with the training and environment to succeed in this role. We offer a hybrid approach to home and office working to provide an adaptable experience for all employees and to promote a strong collaborative environment.
