This exciting role will give you the opportunity to work with all areas of Social Care Services. This is a role that will suit you if you can demonstrate a working knowledge of financial regulations and standards, practical experience of working with computerised accounting systems and procedures. You will be an organised person with a great eye for detail and with an interest in developing initiatives that enable the department to deliver effective support services to the department.
You will be creative, proactive and have initiative and an ability to generate ideas.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Lead and manage a team of Finance Assistants
• Providing a range of financial services and payment of goods and services purchased external to the local authority
• Contributing to the year-end closure, balancing and reconciliation of systems
• Providing specialist support and assistance to Service Managers and budget holders
