08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability.
The duties and responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Working alongside qualified technicians with the investigation, repair and service of vehicles
2. Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop and adhering to the Autocentres business processes (e.g. environmental awareness, servicing a vehicle, record keeping, customer contact, documentation completed, quality) and standard workshop operations
3. Assisting with MOT's on vehicles
4. Using diagnostic, mechanical and electrical measuring equipment
5. Inspecting and preparing a vehicle to the required quality standard for handover to the customer e.g. following a service, complex repair, quality control etc.
6. Servicing and maintaining a vehicle
7. Removing or replacing components in line with manufacturer’s standards
8. Investigating symptoms of vehicle fault(s) and identifying the likely underlying causes
9. Applying advanced diagnostic principles and logical problem-solving techniques, supported by diagnostic tools and testing regimes, to establish electrical, mechanical and electronic faults
10. Performing other general technical duties and general housekeeping
11. Exhibiting good customer service skills and the ability to liaise at all levels
12. Following Health & Safety guidelines
Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: £6.40 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
