As a Data Analyst at Verisk Claims UK, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate reporting of customer data through our customer-facing MI platforms. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support reporting needs across our suite of products. Additionally, you’ll coordinate data flow projects and work in alignment with the technical direction of the team, adhering to best practices.
We are looking for a motivated, independent and well-organised individual with experience of working with data and a thirst for learning new technologies. The data analyst will work as part of a fast-paced team to deliver solutions to solve real customer problems and streamline the claims process.
The role will rely on strong attention to detail to ensure that our outputs are accurate. The postholder will work with members of the Account Management, IT, and Development teams to ensure that our data meets customer needs effectively.
Responsibilities
1. Accurate Customer Data Reporting:
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure precise and timely reporting of customer data via Verisk’s customer-facing MI platforms.
* Validate and enhance data accuracy to provide reliable insights.
1. Internal and External Reporting:
* Generate insightful reports that inform decision-making processes.
2. Project Coordination:
* Coordinate data flow projects, working closely with stakeholders.
* Define project scope, requirements, and timelines to enable successful delivery.
3. Alignment with Technical Direction:
* Operate in a manner that aligns with the technical direction of the team.
* Implement industry best practices for data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Familiarity with analysing datasets.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Experience working with data, including processes for data validation and quality control.
* Ability to work under own initiative.
* Desire to learn new technologies and platforms.
* Proficiency in queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
* Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages.
* Understanding and experience of reporting and analysis tools.
* Experience in the industries we support.
