They specialise in delivering comprehensive electrical installations, maintenance, and energy-efficient solutions tailored to meet the needs of their clients and have a strong reputation for excellence.\n\nThe Project \n\nAs an experienced Electrical Project Manager, you will have a key role as part of the senior management team overseeing the electrical package on an office refurbishment in central Newcastle.
You will be managing the planning, coordination and execution of all electrical works to ensure they meet design specification, budgets and deadlines. You will also manage potential risks, and resolve any issues that arise, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and in a safe and efficient manner.\n\nRequirements \n\nFor this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;\n\nSMSTS\nFirst Aid\nValid CSCS / JIB / ECS CardIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;\n\nDemonstrated industry experience with a history of successfully overseeing electrical packages in excess of £250k\nMinimum of three years in an Electrical Project Manager or equivalent role for a reputable contractor or subcontractorAdditional skills;\n\nIT Skills\nEffective time management\nQuality & risk management\nExcellent leadership abilities\nCommercial knowledge (not essential but desirable)\nKnowledgeable of construction laws and regulations\nSolid understanding of contract terms and conditions\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail\nThorough understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices\nA proficient understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques\nProficient in project management software, industry-specific tools, and relevant technical expertiseThe Role\n\nJob Title: Electrical Project Manager\nJob Type: Long-term Freelance\nProject: £500k Office Fit Out\nLocation: Central Newcastle\nDuration: 6 months minimum\nReporting to: Contracts Director \n\nDuties\n\nInductions\nTool box talks\nConduction of audits\nOversee daily electrical operations\nOffer specialised electrical expertise\nDirect liaison with other subcontractors\nOversee and coordinate electrical works\nResolve challenges that could affect project timelines\nConduct thorough project assessments and analyses\nMonitor project spending to maintain budget alignment\nWork closely with head office to appoint subcontractors\nMaintain and enforce health and safety standards on-site\nWorking closely and directly reporting to Contracts Director\nIdentify potential risks and develop strategies to minimise them\nMonitor project timelines and ensure adherence to the schedule\nRespond to client concerns and issues swiftly and professionally\nIdentify and allocate necessary resources, including staff, equipment, and materials\nCollaborate with procurement to ensure the on-time delivery of materials and equipment\nProvide regular project updates and progress reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders\nConduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations\nSet and maintain quality control standards to ensure project deliverables meet the defined requirements\nEnsure accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and reports \n\nThis is a long-term freelance position with a competitive rate on offer for the successful candidate.
