Main duties of the job
1. Provide high-quality primary care services to registered patients.
2. Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations, including diagnosis, treatment, and referrals.
3. Manage acute and chronic conditions in line with best practice guidelines.
4. Participate in duty doctor sessions as part of the practice rota.
5. Prescribe medications appropriately and safely in accordance with clinical guidelines.
6. Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
7. Contribute to the development and improvement of practice protocols and procedures.
8. Engage in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
9. Maintain accurate patient records using the practices clinical system.
10. Comply with CQC and NHS guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care.

We are looking for a GP to join our experienced team of two GP partners and three salaried GPs.
Job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Clinical services
1. Provide consultations to patients of the practice, in line with the practice rota, including:
2. taking history
3. examination
4. diagnosis
5. treatment, including prescribing medications
6. referral where appropriate
7. certification where appropriate.
8. Provide duty doctor cover, in line with the practice rota
9. Carry out home visits when required, in line with the practice rota.
10. Participate in screening and chronic disease management activities.
11. Review correspondence relating to patients.
12. Record notes of consultations and other patient interactions in an accurate and timely fashion.
13. Issue repeat prescriptions to patients.
14. Provide clinical advice and support to other clinical staff.
15. Respond to queries from administrative and reception team.
16. Provide cover for other members of the GP team during periods of absence.
17. Supply information for non-NHS purposes, such as insurance reports and medicals.
Development and management of the practice
1. Attend and participate in practice meetings and other team meetings as required.
2. Participate in clinical audit and research within the practice.
3. Contribute to the development of protocols and clinical standards within the practice.
4. Contribute to the ongoing development of the practice, including identifying opportunities for service development.
Communication requirements
This job requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, to enable effective engagement with:

Competence and professional development
This role requires the following competence and commitment to continuing professional development (CPD):
