Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated software engineer with a proven track record of working on large codebases with C++ to join our team working on RenderDoc for Arm GPUs. RenderDoc is an open-source graphics debugger, providing developers the ability to step through the rendering of a single frame identifying the individual graphics API calls or resources that are causing graphical issues. RenderDoc for Arm GPUs is our fork that provides Arm-specific features that RenderDoc's maintainers typically do not want - we upstream as much as possible.
The role involves collaborating with highly motivated engineers from different backgrounds, and customers throughout the world. Engineers on the team develop new features, maintain existing ones, and support the engineering infrastructure for build, test, and continuous integration. The team also helps to support both internal and external users, and chips in to developer documentation, developer website, and community forums - both for Arm and upstream RenderDoc.
We are strengthening the team to help deliver features that support the full breadth of Arm's product portfolio. Our tool is used to diagnose graphical issues in the latest smart cars, drones, mobile games, and machine learning applications; your ideas will make a difference and help to bring world-beating products to market.
Responsibilities
As a member of our development team, you will be involved in design, development and maintenance of the tool. Your role as a senior software engineer will entail:
* Code development and associated testing.
* Undertaking any CI/CD requirements.
* Working in an Agile cadence and driving continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Validated experience of professional software development using C++.
* Experience writing quality code, understands importance of testing, code reviews, static analysis etc.
* Responsible for setting the direction in some part of their project.
'Nice To Have' Skills and Experience:
* Experience of graphics APIs, specifically Vulkan.
* Experience of Android app development.
* Cross-platform development experience.
* Experience of Qt or other UI toolkits.
