We are currently seeking a Master Data Management (MDM) Analyst within the work and asset information team. Working across the water and wastewater business units, this proactive role will be responsible for understanding the asset data in SAP PM and GIS, the quality of the data and how it can be utilised to make business decisions.
You will take ownership of the asset and maintenance plan update process by engaging with various teams and stakeholders to ensure they understand the data they are supplying to the team.
You will also need to be proactive in engaging with these teams to identify where we are missing data or receiving incorrect data and ensuring the maintenance of data quality through rigorous change management. Proactive data quality monitoring and an ongoing program identifying improvements that need to be made will also be part of the role.
What you’ll be doing as a Master Data Management (MDM) Analyst
1. Creation and updating of work and asset data within SAP PM by engaging with key business stakeholders to ensure the timeliness and quality of data provided.
2. Providing training and support to allow data providers to understand the importance of the data supplied.
3. Establishing relationships with all areas of the business to ensure data quality.
4. Being the “go to” person, providing support to business areas as and when required.
5. Working within the data governance framework for SAP PM asset and work data, identify improvements to increase efficiency in data and information handling.
What you should bring to the role
6. You may have an engineering background, possibly with an engineering qualification.
7. Or have a technical mechanical or electrical background with ability to understand operational assets.
8. You will need strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
9. Solid SAP PM Asset Maintenance or other CMMS background.
10. An understanding of asset lifecycle with an appreciation of technical maintenance required to keep assets operational.
11. Relevant scientific or engineering qualification: degree with experience in a related role or HNC/D or equivalent with experience proving your technical aptitude.
12. Significantly competent with the use of complex IT systems and standard office software, including SAP.
13. Proven experience working to tight deadlines, and responding to changing requirements.
14. Due to regular travel, you will need a valid UK driving licence.
