Looking for a new part-time job that's packed with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else?
You're in luck as our amazing #TeamHalliday in Peterhead are now on the lookout for two caring and reliable individuals to join them on a part-time (12 or 24 hours per week) basis.
The Role
As a Support Practitioner you'll become part of a friendly team who provides invaluable support to a young gentleman who has autism to live in his own home. As well as supporting this young man with all aspects of his daily living, including personal care, medication, cooking & cleaning, you'll also support with his hobbies and interests too. Some of his hobbies include swimming, walking, going to the golf range, outings, going for meals and drives in the car.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and SSSC registration fees too! However, as the young gentleman that we support has his own mobility car, we will need you to hold a full manual driving license for this particular opportunity.
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
A full manual driving licence
Confidence to support in the water as swimming is a regular activity.
Good listening and communication skills.
A caring attitude and approach.
A positive approach to learning.
An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines.
Confidence in the use of computers.
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support possible, shift patterns for this team will usually fall into patterns of Monday-Friday 1515-2300 or 0700-0915 hours (includes a sleepover) and weekend shifts on a rotational basis; 0900-1600, 1600-2300 and 0700-0900 hours (includes a sleepover).
The sleepover part of a sleepover shift is not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £96 for each sleepover worked.
We are looking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible and withhold the right to close this advert early if we find a suitable candidate before our closing date. Please apply early to avoid any disappointment.
Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!
Have any questions? If you'd like to find out more, please contact Maryam Mahmood on 07973624100.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
Cornerstone welcomes applications from all sections of the community and actively seeks to increase the diversity of our workforce.
