We are looking for a Lead Nurse to join our Cell Collection team. Title: Lead Nurse, Cell Collection Centre Salary: £56,000 - £60,000 per annum Contract: Permanent Hours: 35 per week (Full-time) Location: Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham Job Summary As the Lead Nurse of the Cell Collection Centre (CCC) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Registered Manager, you will be accountable for maintaining the highest standards of care, fostering a positive staff culture, ensuring an excellent donor experience, and achieving full compliance with all regulated activities. You will provide strong and visible senior nursing leadership, creating a supportive and high-performing work environment. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all clinical activity at the CCC aligns with the required scope of practice and professional expertise to meet and sustain regulatory standards and external accreditations. Key Responsibilities Establish the Cell Collection Centre as a centre of excellence for cell collection, ensuring the highest clinical standards, delivery of safe and high-quality care, and best practice in donor experience. Provide strategic vision and professional leadership in this specialist clinical field, engaging and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Act as the CQC Registered Manager, accountable for ensuring the Centre’s full compliance with Care Quality Commission regulations and all relevant legislation. Serve as the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) Person Designated (PD) for the CCC, supporting the Designated Individual (DI) in maintaining compliance with HTA regulations. Lead the Centre’s successful achievement of Joint Accreditation Committee – ISCT & EBMT (JACIE) accreditation, targeted for 2026. Demonstrate passionate, confident leadership—fostering curiosity, collaboration, and determination across a matrix team comprising Anthony Nolan and NHS colleagues. Apply your clinical expertise to support and contribute to research in the field of cell collection, for both transplant and non-transplant purposes. Be willing and able to travel to other Anthony Nolan offices or external venues as required to participate in meetings, forums, and conferences. What’s in it for you?
