We are looking for an expert Finance Manager or Business Partner to join our Consulting line of business. Playing a key part in steering how the consulting department will grow in the future. This will include being responsible for the reporting of the financial position at month end for both actuals and forecast, to the Director of Consulting and collaborating with other business managers to produce the budget. You will revolutionise what we do by building the best in consulting services. We have 2 decades of delivery experience and service development; We know the NHS - We are part of it This is a hybrid role which will be predominantly based at home with only one day a week based in our recently refurbished, modern office settings in Salford or Leeds. What you will be doing: Supporting the growth of the Consulting sector, according to NHS SBS strategic business plan. Provide financial insight and options to secure profitable new business. Produce the sector's month end financial documents and forecasting. Processing financial transactions on Oracle and record accounting transactions in line with local and group policies. Have a continuous focus on improving processes and identifying inefficiencies within Finance and Accounting. Perform checks, reviews and reconciliations to ensure the integrity of ledgers and sub-ledgers. What you will bring: Previous experience as a Finance Manager/ Finance Business Partner. A passion and enthusiasm for growing your area of the business and driving the NHS forward. Strong MS Excel skills to produce MI and present to senior management. An understanding of ERP systems, as well as accounting & internal control environments. The knowledge to interpret accounting standards & policies and produce compliant financial reports. A confident communication style, flexible enough to communicate complicated financial issues to non-finance people. Reporting against utilisation of people. It is crucial to have: A degree or equivalent experience in finance. Recognised professional accounting qualification or equivalent (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
