Responsible for managing business relationships with all contacts of the Merchant Partners within the Territory face to face as set by the Merchant Channel Manager (MCM)
Responsible for meeting & exceeding activity targets within Territory and delivering campaigns to grow the business
Expert in understanding products, relevant market area, trends, opportunities and competitive activity within territory
Responsible for managing contact with all Merchant Partners’ accounts within the Territory
Responsible for developing and improving excellent relationships with all new and existing merchant partners
Developing contacts from D1 to D4 by winning opportunities and supporting through the sales process (coaching)
Monitor sales data for territory and keep up to date with market trends and merchant partners' needs
Ensure account profiles are updated swiftly and accurately for all merchants
Follow up all leads within 24 hours (i.e. sample requests, contact forms, etc)
Ensure management reports are accurate and submitted on time
Managing all aspects of pipeline from gaining opportunities to closing them down
Aware of competitive activities within major merchant accounts
Ensure activities are promptly recorded on Salesforce CRM database
To prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing merchants detailing the success & credibility of the business & its products by utilising category management techniques / information to grow
Be financially astute with pricing, and provide comprehensive reports to MCM, making recommendations for territory
Involved in the creation of sales strategy for territory & present to MCM for approval
Identify underperforming Merchant Partners present and execute strategy for recovery within the reporting timeframe (i.e. current quarter)
Responsible for visual merchandising whilst visiting all partners. Full responsibility for small installations & improvements, support in large installations.
Requirements:
Must be able to build relationships across different levels in organisations from Trade Counter staff up to Regional Directors and engaging with all at the right level of cadence
Identifying trends, asking great questions to understand the reasons for them
Using data and insight to create and plans and unearth opportunities
Skillset of executing those plans & opportunities and should they go off track having the necessary skillset to get them back on track
Maintaining timely and detailed records of customer interactions
