Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Fareham Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time Your Role: As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will be a crucial part of the support system for students with additional needs. You’ll work collaboratively with teachers and staff to provide tailored assistance, ensuring all students feel confident and engaged in their learning journey. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and group support for students with SEN, adapting learning materials to their specific needs. Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students understand and stay focused on their tasks. Promote social and emotional well-being, helping students develop confidence and positive behaviour. Collaborate with teachers to implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Monitor and document progress, sharing updates with the teaching team and parents. Support students during transitions, breaks, and extracurricular activities, ensuring their safety and inclusion. What We’re Looking For: We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about working with children and has a compassionate approach to learning support. The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with children with SEN, or a strong interest in doing so. Knowledge of SEN conditions such as autism, ADHD, or learning disabilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. A patient, proactive, and flexible attitude towards supporting individual learning needs. Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate, are an advantage but not required. Why Join GSL Education?
