Are you passionate about enhancing young people’s careers? The School of Care and Science are looking for a part-time lecturer who will inspire our learners to achieve their full potential during their time at West Herts College.
The right candidate will plan, deliver, and assess courses at levels 1, 2 & 3 across Heath and Social Care courses.
The candidate will be responsible for delivering skills and knowledge to high standards. This will be achieved by preparing resources, delivering lessons, marking student work, and supporting students with their whole programme of study.
We are seeking an industry specialist to teach and embed essential skills. Learners will complete invaluable work experience placements as part of their study programme, which will launch them into a career in the health and social care sector with skills and experiences that align with their chosen career path.
This opportunity exists for an individual who wants to work in a stimulating and challenging environment, to inspire our students to achieve their best. The successful candidate will need to have essential skills required in Health & Social Care and ideally knowledge of sociology and/or psychology. We would be particularly interested to hear from anyone who has a background in Adult Nursing. They will ideally have experience working with young people or apprentices either in a college or an educational setting, however an inspirational and motivational approach is essential to educate and inspire learners.
Applicants should have a minimum of Level 3 in Health & Social care or an equivalent course, and relevant vocational experience. A teaching qualification would be advantageous; however, we would offer full teacher training to the successful candidate.
The successful applicant will become part of a highly motivated team who are dedicated to raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 9th March 2025.
You will have the full support of a dynamic team, and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do; so you will be encouraged to upskill.
We have a free on site gym at our Watford Campus and you can access a wide range of discounts and benefits including a cycle to work scheme, free on-site parking, pension, generous holiday scheme, time off at Christmas and early finishes on a Friday.
