Infrastructure Directorate
The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.
This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods, and thriving communities.
About the Position
This role is responsible for the collection of commercial waste/street litter cleaning and ensuring all scheduled collections are made as per the run sheet and map.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Waste Management Operator (Commercial) will include but are not limited to:
* Take responsibility for maintenance deadlines and reporting repairs to vehicles including filling in the vehicle pre-start checklist and maintaining basic daily procedures.
* Ensure all scheduled collections are made as per run sheets and maps.
* Assist in the maintenance of daily work sheets in regard to new services, cancellations, etc.
* Participate in alternate Saturday Commercial collection services.
* Provide backup, as required, to other units experiencing difficulties completing rounds.
About You

* A current "HR" class driver's licence must be maintained throughout employment with the City.
* Safe operation and user maintenance of all relevant front-lift and side-lift vehicles.
* Commitment to providing the highest level of internal and external customer service.
* Co-operative outlook and able to work as part of a committed team.
* Ability to use two-way radio, speak clearly, read, and write legibly.

This permanent full-time position is a Level 6 Outside Workforce Agreement position which attracts a salary from $75,442 gross per annum plus superannuation.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have the ability to obtain a:
* A copy of your Australian driving licence.
* National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months).
* Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance.
* The right to work in Australia.
