What will you be doing?
Working within the IT team, you will be an integral part of the delivery of many projects by providing assistance in the following:
1. Assist and work closely with the MWH Senior Cyber Security Analyst.
2. Support the continuous monitoring of IT infrastructure and systems for signs of suspicious or malicious activity.
3. Triage and respond to security alerts and tickets – escalating where applicable.
4. Monitor and action reported phishing alerts.
5. Work closely with the managed service IT provider, RSK group companies, JV Partner and Client IT teams assisting with cyber security recommendations.
6. Provide support to the MWH Information Security team where required.
7. Conduct vulnerability analysis and management of remediation activities.
8. Assist with the pen testing process and other cyber security audit tasks.
9. Provide support on security reviews on third party systems and applications.
10. Participate in the creation and delivery of education materials and exercises to test procedures.

Qualifications required to apply:
1. Basic IT skills, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
2. Good use of written English.
3. Grade 3 Math and English at GCSE.
Additional Requirements:
Flexibility – The role is essentially site-based and whilst there may be periods when attendance at an office (either MWH or a Clients), the need to commute anywhere within the Severn Trent region on a daily basis or on occasion lodge locally to a place of work is a requirement of the role.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal are essential, and you must be able to work well within a team and independently.
Strong work ethic - self-motivated, flexible and reliable with good problem-solving skills. You will also have a strong client service focus and excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Excellent computer skills - a good understanding of Microsoft Office is essential.
Curiosity - a natural curiosity regarding how things work is a desirable characteristic common to all commissioning engineers.
