Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist - Oncology London: The Harley Street Clinic and Leaders in Oncology Care (LOC) Contract Type : Maternity Cover 37.5 hours per week Salary Range- Competitive dependent upon skills and experience. W e’re looking for a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist with Oncology experience to join our team at HCA within Harley Street Clinic, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. You will act as an expert practitioner in the field of Oncology Physiotherapy and to work in collaboration with the inpatient Oncology Physiotherapy service to provide high quality evidence-based care. You will work with a small team of outpatient physiotherapists helping to support clinics and the online exercise program. You will act as a highly specialist oncology-physio opinion and resource to clinical staff, patients and carers. The role requires: To effectively manage an outpatient oncology case-load and provide highly specialised treatment to patients, including implementing quality initiatives and quality assurance methods for the outpatient cancer service. To utilise expert clinical knowledge to work alongside medical and other professional colleagues caring for patients undergoing oncological treatments including post-surgical oncology rehabilitation Lead using high level of clinical expertise and judgement in the triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with oncology scar tissue, nerve, fatigue, joint or mobility problems. Work alongside a team of outpatient physios autonomously maintaining a caseload of patients providing highly specialised clinical assessment, diagnosis and management for patients with highly complex oncology physiotherapy conditions. Coordinate care and work closely with the wider therapies and supportive services team which include Macmillan volunteers, Dietitians, Speech Therapists, OT’s, Psychologists and Complementary Therapists.
