About the Role:
Cover Supervisors are essential to the smooth running of schools, stepping in for absent teachers and ensuring continuity in the classroom. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pre-assigned lessons, manage classroom behavior, and maintain a productive learning environment. The school are working with Teaching Personnel to build up a pool of Cover Supervisors to assist with daily cover needs within their secondary school. As lessons are planned so thoroughly in the absence of usual class teachers, it is the preference of the school to cover leaves of absence with cover supervisors rather than fully qualified teachers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for educators with a range of experience to secure regular work with a local school, providing opportunity to familiarise yourself with staff and pupils of the school. This is a great opportunity for experienced educators or graduates who are working towards a career in education to gain school-based experience on a flexible basis.
Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
• Supervise pre-assigned lessons in the absence of regular teachers.
• Establish rapport quickly with students.
• Implement effective behavior management strategies in line with school policies.
• Be flexible to cover various subjects across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work.
Requirements to be a Cover Supervisor:
• Hold a UK recognized degree or have relevant experience in a similar role.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Possess a valid enhanced DBS check (preferably issued within the last year or on the update service). If you don't have a DBS, we can help with the application process.
• Be local to, or willing to travel to surrounding areas of Bournemouth

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
