The Role
As a Materials Engineer, you will form part of a small group who are responsible for supporting all aspects of materials engineering and associated Research & Development (R&D) across our wide range of industrial sectors.
Main responsibilities include:
* Materials selection, characterisation, and qualification
* Development of new and existing manufacturing technologies
* Process development and control
* Component development and testing
* Failure Analysis
* Materials research and development
What we are looking for
The successful candidate will hold a recognised formal Engineering or Science qualification and will have demonstrable experience in the relevant fields. Aluminium science/engineering experience is desirable.
* Engineering/Science qualification (BSc/BEng or equivalent minimum)
* Knowledge of metallurgy and heat treatment
* Knowledge of processing and characterisation techniques
* Material failure analysis experience
* Ability to get to commute to site in Bridgenorth, 5 days a week
