HomeServe are currently recruiting for a Senior Media Manager to join the Marketing Team in Walsall. The successful candidate will be a s trategic thinker with expert knowledge of best practice digital, multi-channel, insight led marketing. You will be highly commercial with experience in delivering to ROI criteria. Strong marketing planning, stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills are also essential. We work in a hybrid way, mostly remote with a requirement to travel into our Walsall office twice a week to work with the team. With that in mind you will be located within a convenient commute to Walsall. The Acquisition and Growth team are responsible for the development and optimisation of the annual (and multi-year) strategic marketing and activity plan. Underpinned by Customer and market insights; prior performance analysis and audience led propositions, the team has overall accountability to ensure that marketing activities will deliver business outcomes (commercial and Customer). The department is made up of 4 teams: HomeServe Category Marketing (Primary channel – Digital) Partnership Category Marketing (Primary channels – VAS & DM) Growth Marketing Marketing Data ROLE PURPOSE To lead media channels to drive quality traffic to site and achieve sales at agreed CPA in line with business targets. Effectively lead agency partnerships in : PPC, Display, Paid Social, VoD, Affiliates & Aggregators, SEO and any new channels (e.g. Press and Radio). This role is accountable for managing all media marketing channels to achieve Marketing KPIs within set CPAs and drive growth of the HomeServe brand and digital. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Lead, manage and continuously optimise the full media channel mix, through the funnel, to achieve KPI targets and drive growth in digital and the HomeServe brand Lead and drive the day-to-day relationship with our media agency and internal teams to lead the planning and execution of all paid media activity Lead champion/challenger activity to optimise and grow channels Develop innovative strategies, techniques and test plans in Paid Media channels to drive efficiencies Drive effectiveness of paid Search alongside organic to maximise the ranking of our core terms across search engines Define, develop and implement cut-through media proposals to support integrated Marketing campaigns Identify opportunities and drive improvements in conversion across media channels Work with relevant agencies and internal teams in the setup and maintenance of sales and attribution reporting, providing insight and recommendations on media strategy using channel attribution solutions Act as a consultant to internal teams to drive continuous improvement in digital marketing activity Have expert knowledge on digital performance and levers to improve media metrics, CPA and Pay back; price, segmentation, seasonality etc – working closely with the Finance and Planning teams to ensure robust forecasts, budget management and reporting is in place Ensure activity adheres to HomeServe Membership’s financial requirements and enable us to grow value across all categories – whilst being in line with our low regulatory risk appetite and in line with industry good practice Be comfortable with applying legislative requirements (FCA, DPA) as well as adhering to relevant codes of practice and ASA requirements Ensure activities follow all required approval processes – including commercial approvals and submissions into Sales and Marketing Committee Raise the bar in People (team) performance, drive engagement and support Career Progression Framework development, demonstrate role model behaviour at all times About You To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes: Essential: Expert knowledge of best practice multi-channel insight led marketing, strong marketing planning, stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills Extensive and proven experience of managing the full media mix to drive acquisition/sales and brand reach Specific knowledge and expertise in search engine marketing and delivering large scale search programmes for consumer facing companies Experience of successfully managing relationships with media agencies Aware of the latest search and paid media developments with a network established to maintain this knowledge Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to identify trends, understand campaign performance and identify opportunities for growth and optimisation of campaigns. Budget management, forecasting and planning skills Problem solver with a ‘can do’ mindset Influencing and negotiating skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience Detailed up to date knowledge of all legislation relating to financial promotions and codes of practice (ICOBS 3 - Insurance Code of Business Sourcebook 3 [Distance Marketing]) Desirable: Experience of marketing in a Financial Services company.
