Are you passionate about HR and ready to make an impact? We’re looking for a dynamic HR Support Specialist to join our People & Culture team, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our Supply and Services businesses across HR, Rewards, and Benefits. This is an exciting opportunity to actively support colleagues at every stage of their employee journey—from onboarding, employee relations to engagement. As part of your role, there may be a requirement for you to travel to various sites across different locations.
Accountabilities:
As an HR Support Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our employee experience, ensuring that every interaction is positive and productive. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Deliver exceptional HR service: Be the go-to person for HR support, providing prompt and proactive assistance to colleagues on a wide range of topics, from general HR queries to employee relations support.
* Manage HR and benefits queries: Serve as the first point of contact for all HR and benefits-related questions, offering helpful and accurate guidance.
* Oversee HR & benefits administration: Handle all HR and benefits-related tasks throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding new hires to managing transitions and departures.
* Keep policies and processes up-to-date: Ensure our HR policies, procedures, and systems are current and effectively implemented across the organization.
* Coordinate employee events & engagement activities: Take charge of planning and managing internal events, such as company celebrations, team-building activities, and employee engagement initiatives.
* Collaborate with employee champions: Work closely with our employee advocates, supporting group-led initiatives and driving positive cultural outcomes.
* Manage our people system: Act as the 'super user' for our people management system (Sage), ensuring data accuracy and maximizing system capabilities.
* Support HR projects: Contribute to various HR projects, providing administrative support and helping the team meet its objectives.
* Maintain accurate HR records: Ensure all HR documentation and records are kept up-to-date and organised.
* Champion Good Energy’s culture: Embody and promote the values and behaviours that align with our company culture, setting an example for others.
* Promote people & benefits opportunities: Use internal communication channels, like our intranet, to keep employees informed about HR-related updates, events, and benefits.
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with active experience within an HR function, including providing relevant advice and supporting employee relations situations, alongside being proficient in administrative activity.
With HR experience and knowledge, you’ll understand the value of efficient processes and clear communication. You’ll excel at managing multiple tasks, prioritizing a busy workload, and meeting deadlines with ease.
As a confident communicator, you’ll build strong relationships across all levels, thrive in fast-paced environments, and adapt quickly to changing demands. Proactive and driven, you’re always one step ahead, focused on delivering high-quality work.
Your integrity and professionalism ensure confidential information is handled with care. Whether working independently or collaboratively, you’re reliable and effective. CIPD qualification is a plus, but it’s your proactive mindset and commitment to excellence that make you stand out.
Essential
* Excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills including proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Experience or knowledge in an HR department.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan and handle multiple tasks and prioritise a high-volume workload.
* Strong written and spoken communication skills – able to build good working relationships.
* Ability to thrive under pressure, adapt to changing requirements and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Driven and proactive, looks to see what needs to be done, and thinks ahead.
* Strong sense of integrity and professionalism when dealing with confidential information.
* Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Desirable
* CIPD qualified.
