Health & Safety Manager Full Time West Drayton Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm Salary: Around £47,300 per annum Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays Contract: Permanent Direct with clinet Bonus: Annual Bonus scheme, up to 12% of annual salary potential Responsible for Health and Safety at the Heathrow Consolidation Centre and Terminal locations. Ensuring full legislative and regulatory Health and Safety requirements are met. Ownership of Health and Safety incident/near miss/Hazard reports on AMIS (company bespoke system) Actively seek to improve HS across the business - HCC and Terminal locations Ownership of the HCC Safety Management System to meet regulatory requirements and contractual accreditations including ISO 45001. Ensure all HS related policies and procedures are communicated and implemented with accurate records maintained. Ensure all HS documentation is correctly maintained, including training records. Ownership of all HS related audits both internal and external. Chair all HS Forum meetings and ensure ownership and follow up on all points raised. Engage with Unite Union/Relevant HS rep periodically or in the event of a change in ways of working i.e. the introduction of new equipment. Work in partnership with the Senior Leadership team to support the long term organizational strategy Develop plans to materialize HS for the short, mid and long term business objectives. Develop new ways of working that are in keeping with culture and help promote growth and development. Act as an SME for Health and safety for other sites as required. Other tasks appropriate to the position and within reasonable capability. Qualifications required for the role IOSH Managing Safety Essential. Nebosh General Certificate Essential. NXCT holder. Desirable Recognized Training Qualification (i.e. PTTLS or equivalent). Desirable. Threat Assessor. Desirable Radiation Protection Supervisor. Essential. Important External Relationships Heathrow Airport Limited including Account Manager, Security Assurance Manager and other posts associated with the HCC contract. Department for Transport. Knowledge and Experience Requirements In depth knowledge of HS principles and experience in applying them in a Warehouse and Transport environment Strong team leadership, influencing and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Report writing skills In depth knowledge of Security and H&S management systems. Warehouse and operational management experience. Computer literate. Excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills. Problem solving and process improvement. Project management Skills. Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
