About the Role
CBI Health is Canada’s leading community healthcare provider. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will assess and treat clients who’ve experienced workplace injuries and motor vehicle accidents, focusing on a return to pre-accident function. Treatment goals are determined collaboratively with clients and include self-care, home management, community engagement, and a return to work.
Occupational Therapists within our Complex Auto program assess and treat clients with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments related to motor vehicle accidents. In our Traumatic Psychological Injury program, you will work with first responders conducting in vivo exposure therapy and facilitating trauma processing and coping strategies.

Responsibilities
* Work with clients throughout their entire treatment plan, from assessment to discharge
* Collaborate with colleagues and other health professionals
* Provide assessment and treatment to a variety of clients
* Work with WSIB complex files
* Perform attendant care assessments
* Coordinate assistive devices/home modifications
* Facilitate return-to-work processes
* Develop new programs to meet client needs
* Perform timely charting and communication
* Teach group education classes
What You Need to Be Successful
* Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
* A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* Strong critical thinking and communication skills
* Empathy and ability to build rapport with clients
* Experience in the private sector, particularly with auto sector legislation and WSIB, is an asset
