The Senior Business Data Manager is a key new role in IELTS taking a lead on the design and provision of a range of management data and reports to senior internal and external stakeholders. You will work with the IELTS partnership and across the English and Cambridge University Press & Assessment business in support of business planning, budgeting and financial decision making, performance monitoring and strategic decision-making., The Senior Business Data Manager role is essential to supporting the effective management of the IELTS portfolio, the largest Cambridge University Press & Assessment product group running 4 million tests, 365 days per year in over 140 countries through and wide and diverse delivery network. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills of responsibility and innovation to go beyond data reporting to produce data intelligence and contribute significantly to embedding a data culture in the wider team. You will have the opportunity to develop stakeholder management, problem solving, decision making and collaborative skills to effectively negotiate a very large and complex data landscape across multiple stakeholders, products, systems, geopolitical boundaries and organisations. You will need to develop the appropriate analytical and business acumen to deal with at times ambiguous, complex and changing demands Key accountabilities:
* to act as a key decision maker for IELTS data management design and reporting
* to make recommendations and implement changes to reporting processes and functionality
* to support delivery of Cambridge strategy and commercial goals in relation to IELTS through the provision of management data in support of IELTS business planning activity
* to work autonomously to design and implement accurate and efficient processes and queries to drive the automation of management reports and appropriate approaches to the provision of management data
* to work with group managers and directors to input to strategic goals and KPIs making suggestions and recommendation for appropriate metrics and collated data sources to measure strategic progress
* to lead on IELTS reporting, taking accountability for key internal and external reports often liaising with key senior data roles across both internal and external data teams (e.g. Regulation, English, Finance, IELTS Partners, IELTS UK)
You will need to have the requisite skills listed below as well as being able to demonstrate our values of collaboration, empowerment, innovation and responsibility. You will need to work with agility and with recognition of the development needs of others in your area of expertise to create positive and change. You will need a keen sense of responsibility and attention to detail, with curious and interrogative approach, being able to listen well and collaborate with others to ensure reliable and appropriate information is supplied to meet the business needs., A degree in a science/maths/statistical field with a strong analytic focus (or equivalent work experience)
* Ability to program (e.g. SAS, Python, R, SQL, VBA)
* Familiarity with statistical analysis procedures
* Excellent knowledge of database and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel).
* Knowledge of data visualisation/BI software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
