Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs?
We are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our outstanding primary school in Ashington, with opportunities available on both a full-time and part-time basis, starting immediately.
In this role, you will support pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN needs through one-to-one and small group sessions. You will work closely with class teachers to develop and implement effective strategies and learning activities, ensuring that each pupil is given the best possible support. Your responsibilities will include preparing lesson resources, supervising pupils during breaks and lunchtimes, and engaging actively with students to encourage their learning and progress.
To be successful, you should have an enhanced DBS check (preferably on the Update Service; we can assist with a new application if necessary) and ideally hold a recognised childcare-based qualification, although this is not essential. A strong ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff is crucial, along with a resilient, proactive, and positive approach to managing challenges. Prior experience in classroom support is beneficial, but a genuine passion for helping young people fulfil their potential is what truly matters.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive, inspiring, and dynamic environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of children every day. If you are interested in this role, please apply as soon as possible.
