Spire Portsmouth Hospital is looking for a Bank Radiology Department Assistant to join our busy department on a flexible basis. The successful applicant will assist the multi-disciplinary team to provide exemplary patient care and examination.

Duties and responsibilities:
1. Care for patients, carers, visitors, and relatives during their visit to the Department
2. To act as chaperone in line with policy
3. To help with the movement of patients in the examination rooms
4. To use the Radiology information system (RIS) to record the patients Radiology episode
5. To liaise with a wide range of staff caring for the patient- including Radiographers, Nurses, Radiologists, Consultants and external departments.
6. To assist with audit projects as required.
7. To be responsible for complying with Health & Safety policy, agreed policies and procedures of the Radiology Department, the local rules under IRMER (ionising radiation law) and the agreed policies and procedures of the Spire Healthcare.
8. To maintain a high standard of cleanliness with in the whole of the Radiology.
9. To maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
10. To work as part of a team.
11. To have knowledge of Radiology systems (RIS, PACS, IEP, Patient Database)

12. Experience working in customer service, ideally with administration
13. A great communicator who can build a strong rapport with a range of stakeholders
14. The flexibility to work the required hours
15. You will need a passion for customer service and be someone who takes pride in what they do
