Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Candidate Specification
* A 2:1 or higher degree in Psychology, Education, SEN, or a related subject.
* A patient, resilient, and empathetic personality with a strong desire to support children with additional needs.
* Experience in working with SEN children, either through voluntary work, tutoring, or placements, is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
* A proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn and implement SEN strategies.
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Job Specification
* Full-time, long-term Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role – Monday to Friday, term-time only.
* Earn up to £520 per week while gaining invaluable experience in a specialist school setting.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and sensory impairments.
* Assist teachers in delivering individualised learning programmes tailored to students’ needs.
* Work closely with Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, and SENCOs to implement effective interventions.
* Help create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported.
