About the role
We're on the lookout for an experienced Driver Safety and Compliance Manager to join our Distribution and Customer Fulfilment Driver Operations Team.
This role reports directly to the Lead Driver Safety and Compliance Manager and is based in a regional team that offers coaching and support to stores, customer and urban fulfilment centres and their colleagues. This helps provide the skills and knowledge to serve our customers better every day while ensuring the safety and legal integrity of our Dotcom colleagues and business.
This remote role will require spending at least four and a half days of the working week in Customer Fulfilment Centres or Stores. Although the role is primarily Monday to Friday, there may be a need to work a weekend if required.
The area you will cover will be 2 Customer Fulfilment Centres in South London, and stores in Surrey and Sussex.
You will be responsible for:
* Supporting the stores and customer / urban fulfilment centres in training and retaining the best Customer Delivery Drivers.
* Coaching stores and centres on best practice in relation to domestic driving legislation and road traffic law and legal compliance.
* Coaching individuals on safer driving techniques based on the risk identified.
* Working collaboratively with the team to ensure all business partners (stores, customer / urban fulfilment centres and group teams) are engaged to deliver a safe, legal and efficient operation.
* Supporting stores and customer / urban fulfilment centres to deliver corporate metrics and drive continuous improvement by working with Customer Fulfilment Support Manager.
* Helping to build capability in the team, in stores and customer/ urban fulfilment centres by coaching and training colleagues to enhance their operational skills and knowledge.
* Planning and supporting stores and centres to deliver Dotcom seasonal events, changes to trading patterns while minimising any impact to service and operations.
* Supporting the delivery of change and corporate projects in line with the business plan including customer service initiatives.
* Leading budgets optimally and always being cost conscious.
You will need:
* Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) - Desired but not essential.
* Fleet Registered - Desired but not essential.
* Clear understanding of Dotcom processes and procedures.
* A clear understanding of domestic driving legislation and road traffic law.
* Customer Management and Change Management experience.
* Retail or customer fulfilment experience.
