Talocher School are looking to recruit an inspiring, creative teacher who can develop our new ‘Enterprise’ area of learning
We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher who will expand the learning experiences of our learners. The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.
Talocher School is a specialist school for girls and boys aged 7 to 19 who have Additional Learning Needs (ALN). We currently have registration for 60 students. The school provides a warm, welcoming and flexible environment for young people who are unable to attend mainstream education because of their needs.
The Enterprise Teacher’s responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
1. To support learners to become:ambitious, capable learners, ready to learn throughout their livesenterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and workethical, informed citizens of Wales and the worldhealthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society
2. Leading the design and implementation of a new ‘Enterprise’ curriculum. The Enterprise curriculum will encompass:D&TCraftsDigital technologiesBusiness studies
3. Working with other teaching and learning staff to enrich the curriculum offer
4. Liaising with the Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator to ensure that the needs of pupils are being met
5. Collaborating with external agencies to adjust/enhance the curriculum offer
