HR Officer
(Newry)
VANRATH is exclusively partnering with a rapidly expanding organisation, presently seeking to appoint a HR Officer based in Newry, County Down on a full-time, permanent basis.
The HR Officer will play a crucial role in supporting recruitment and on-boarding processes, ensuring that the organisation attracts and retains top talent.
This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the HRBP and department heads to meet the company's staffing needs and support overall HR functions
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and manage the full recruitment process, from job posting to interview scheduling and candidate selection.
2. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
3. Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate suitability.
4. Liaise with department heads to understand their staffing requirements.
5. Oversee the on-boarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
6. Prepare and deliver induction programs, including company policies, procedures, and training sessions.
7. Ensure all necessary documentation and compliance checks are completed.
8. Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues.
9. Support the HRBP in handling employee relations matters, including performance management and disciplinary actions.
10. Foster a positive working environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
11. Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
12. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
13. Prepare HR reports and metrics as required.
14. Identify training needs and support the implementation of development programs.
15. Assist in organising and coordinating training sessions.
The Person
16. Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
17. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a HR role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
18. Strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
