Working Capital Project Manager – EMEA
My Global B2B service firm in London is looking for a Working Capital Manager who will play a pivotal role in establishing and developing a robust working capital (“WC”) management programme/function within the EMEA region.
This position will focus on understanding the existing setup and supporting its improvement by upgrading/creating processes, reporting frameworks and implementing strategies to optimize liquidity along with regional finance directors (CFO), country finance teams and external consulting firms.
The Working Capital Manager is key in highlighting process/system issues impacting WC, drafting ad hoc solutions and support their implementation when decisions are taken.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a strong analytical mindset, the ability to implement solutions and build working capital reporting and implement solutions driving sustainable WC improvements.
Responsibilities
Support the establishment, design and implementation working capital programme / function
Work with external advisors and internal teams to understanding existing setup, assess the opportunity, identify quick wins, map priorities and create action plan for execution, follow-up on implementation and sound results along with PMO
Work closely with wider Transformation, Finance and Group overall in relation to process, data and systems initiative, the establishment of standards and Global Process Owners (“GPOs”), and with the Group Finance function including Treasury
Develop and document policies and procedures (including practical exception management/ escalation steps) for monitoring and optimizing working capital components (accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.)
Partner with leadership to set key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for working capital efficiency. Work with FP&A to embed WC into regular performance management materials and discussions
Skills & Experience
* multiple years of experience in finance, with experience of driving change in working capital, being able to demonstrate cash delivered and/ or KPI improvement
* Experience in building or restructuring financial processes is highly preferred.
* Strong on excel and other data analysis tools
* Undergraduate Degree or higher in Finance and/or Accounting, business management or other related discipline
* Holds a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA)
