Job Title: Export Shipping Administrator

Client Overview:
We are working with our client, a leading company in the warehouse and distribution sector, who is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Export Shipping Administrator to join their fast-paced team. This role is integral in supporting the warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and compliant handling of shipments and chemicals for laboratory and warehouse stock. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks in a busy warehouse environment, including data input, order processing, and preparing shipping documents for dangerous goods. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be a team player, and thrive in a dynamic work setting.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare dangerous goods declarations and DG box labels.
* Book shipments with couriers (primarily FedEx & DHL) using their online software.
* Prepare shipping documents, invoices, and delivery notes to ensure smooth dispatch.
* Check chemicals and ensure orders are packed and finished in accordance with special instructions and DG regulations.
* Advise on bottling and packing of dangerous goods as per IATA requirements.
* Update and maintain a list of UN numbers used by the company, including EQ limits for packers.
* Restock the Packing Room with necessary materials and monitor stock levels.
* Report any shortages in packaging materials to the Warehouse Manager.
* Assist the Sales team by sending air waybills and resolving shipping issues when necessary.
* Flexibly assist in various warehouse roles, as required, and contribute ideas to improve operational processes.
* Maintain high standards of quality control and safety by following all departmental policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to ISO9001 standards, company rules, and the Health & Safety policy.
Key Requirements:
* NVQ Level 2 Warehousing & Storage or equivalent (Desirable)
* IATA Dangerous Goods (DG) certification, ADR DG.
* Strong knowledge of SAP B1 and MSDS authoring software.
* Experience with online courier applications, particularly FedEx and DHL.
* Proven experience in chemical handling, hazard identification, and packing/labeling.
* Comfortable lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 25kg.
* Experience working within a warehouse or shipping environment, with a focus on compliance and safety.
