The role:
Full time Band 6 Service Manager for Oncology, Haematology and Specialist Palliative Care Trustwide to be based at Lincoln, with travel required to Boston, as well as an opportunity to work from home.
We require a high calibre individual to play an integral role in the Clinical Support Services Directorate at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Service Manager you will be accountable for providing confident and credible leadership to the service and will be able to effectively deliver the operational, quality and financial priorities of the Division while working collaboratively with the professional leads in the service. The candidate will need to have experience and knowledge of cancer/waiting time targets.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be an experienced NHS manager who is used to working in large provider organisations and has proven experience of providing strong leadership and delivering operational performance in a directorate. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will relish the challenges ahead and have previously managed services including staff and performance measures. Key to success will be working closely and building strong relationships with clinical teams to ensure services are safe, responsive and effective. Excellent people management skills and resilience are fundamental skills required for these roles. In addition, we are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate delivery to performance standards, collaboratively work across boundaries, capable to develop and motivate teams, as well as show commitment to improving quality and patient experience.
