This position is ideal for a professional who is technically aware in metal fabrication and machining. The preferred candidate will be experienced functioning in a contract manufacturing environment - servicing an annual revenue stream between $20 – $40M. We seek a Representative familiar with and proven in a consultative-selling based sales approach. The Representative will drive sales by developing and maintaining positive customer relationships and will be responsible for contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads. The right person for the job must be focused on teamwork, task completion, and will be successful in their role as they identify opportunities, develop relationships, and help secure profitable opportunities for the company.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Travel to customer locations as required

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Working knowledge and experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or machining is required. Pathways to preparedness for this position include, but are not limited to, a graduate from a related apprenticeship who possesses a progressive path from inside operations to customer facing efforts, or holding a Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree related to Engineering and/or Business/Marketing. A hybrid of apprenticeship and higher education is often an excellent background, providing for a balanced approach between technical savvy and business acumen. The ideal candidate must have 2 years of relevant experience within the Sales / Marketing arena with proven bench strength in project management and strategically growing the business they represent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
The successful candidate will be expected to endure and adapt to changing travel conditions (distances, modes of transportation, overnight stays etc.). In addition, must be able to complete work tasks in an office environment (using computer, phone and other office equipment) or a similarly appointed workspace at home with approval to participate in AccroTool’s Hybrid Work Policy. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. The employee is regularly required to sit and communicate effectively, handle or feel, and to occasionally stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds. On occasion, the candidate will be called to consult on the factory floor, conduct or participate in AccroTool and customer plant walk-throughs. In these instances, he or she must wear the required PPE i.e., safety glasses, safety toe boot/shoe. The employee must be able to perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
JOB DUTIES:
* Drive revenue by ensuring timely response to inbound leads, requests for quotes (RFQ’s), and proactive development of client accounts with current, dormant/declining, and new customers
* Proactive in generating leads, booking appointments and conducting in person meetings and presentations
* Astute at project management and contract review with an emphasis paid towards fact-finding customer scope of work to ensure capability and manufacturability fit
* Report to Sales Operation Manager on sales metrics, opportunities, and threats. Work to fully understand growth opportunities with our strategic initiatives and execute these initiatives effectively to meet objectives
* Utilize a consultative sales approach and follow a strategic market plan to develop new business
* Negotiate contracts and close deals with customers
* Managing relationships with a customer-centric approach to ensure client satisfaction
* Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in the customer relationship management CRM system
* Partner (when necessary) with the Technical Support Specialist or Lead Technical Estimator for technical expertise to evaluate new product/part manufacturability and successfully hand-off the job to be quoted accordingly
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and results-oriented; able to set and meet specific quota goals and performance deliverables
* Approach all current and future customers with an attitude of building long-term relationships
* Ability to communicate technical information in a way that makes sense to a diverse audience/customer base
* Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth
* Provide support for marketing and communication programs- Trade Shows, Articles, Web & Brochures
* Ability to craft, implement and/or manage marketing strategies, social media messaging, website content, and other public communications; public and private presentations; responding to inquiries and generating proposals
* Be aware of and actively sustain AccroTool’s reputation through adherence to quality standards and have the ability to identify and offer a summary-level overview regarding defects in products
* Must have a willingness and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, schedules, and deadlines and support those impacted by change
* Perform other essential duties as assigned in support of operational success
