Job summary Band 6 TB Nurse Specialist Band 5 An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a band 5 nurse to join the Coventry and Warwickshire community TB service, based at the Annex building, Pay body building, Stoney Stanton Road CV1 4FS. We are offering a development post for a band 5 to progress to a band 6 following an agreed level of experience and achievement of associated competencies after 12 months in post and can demonstrate they can work at the level required for the band 6 job description, required for this post. At the end of the 12 months fixed term you will be required to apply for a band 6 post, however this may be at reduced hours. Main duties of the job The purpose of the job role is to; Learn and provide specialist advice in TB and eventually carry clinical community caseload of patients with active and latent TB. You will gain confidence in operating a nurse led TB screening clinics and BCG vaccination Clinics, undertake incident management and wider public health contact screening as directed. Also to maintain TB patient records, record all TB service activity and national TB surveillance data. A car driver is essential; a full induction will be provided with continuous peer support and access to TB conferences and Control workshop to develop expert practice and specialist nurse skills.
