What's involved with this role: Temporary HR/Payroll Assistant Reference no: Bury 0009 5E8F / 1 Pay Rate: up to £14.91per hour PAYE depending on experience 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours This opening assignment is for 4 months City: KNOWSLEY Hybrid working, there will be people in the office during the week if an office environment is preferred. Training will be provided in the office Someone who can join a fast paced HR/Payroll team to support with a peak in workload and also staff absence. The work will involve processing transactions across HR & Payroll, from creating a position on the HR/Payroll system, to completing a transfer, producing a variation to contract document and checking if their pay is correct. In between restructures, there will be some other processing work/mini projects that can be done Someone who can follow processes in place and use their own initiative to manage their workload. You will also need to be flexible to change and be able to adapt quickly. Previous experience working in a similar environment is essential given the fast paced environment. Knowledge: Sound knowledge of HR/Payroll processes and practices Experience: Experience in the use of a range of software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and the internet. Experience in the production of documents and the collation and maintenance of information. Skills & Abilities: Excellent organisational skills, in order to manage work and meet conflicting deadlines. Sufficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages Ability to be extremely accurate, detailed and confidential The ability to work flexibly in order to meet tight deadlines and multi-task.
