About the job We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Server Room Administrator to join our existing experienced team. We are looking to recruit an experienced Server Room Administrator to join us on fast moving, innovative and influential work that is underway in the Defence and Security Sector. What do we look for in an Server Room Administrator? · Oversee the planning, coordinate and manage physical facilities and infrastructure supporting day to day IT operations · Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of IT infrastructure. Producing regular reports on each as part of a service review. · Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data and equipment. · Collaborate with IT teams to plan and implement changes to the IT infrastructure to meet business needs. · Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of facilities to identify and address issues proactively. · Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to data security and facility operations. · Monitor and manage the capacity of IT facilities, including power, cooling and space. · Work with external vendors and service providers to procure equipment, services, and support for IT facilities. · Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure cost-effective and reliable solutions. · Implement and monitor energy-efficient practices to reduce the environmental impact of IT facility operations. · Maintain accurate documentation of IT facility configurations, procedures, and policies. · Generate regular reports on the performance, capacity, and efficiency of IT facilities. Must Haves: Strong knowledge of datacenter operations, infrastructure, and security. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards. (SCIDA, JSP, and ISO) Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work independently. Have or willing to apply for DV clearance Nice to have: Appropriate Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Facilities Management or proven experience in IT facilities management or a related role.
