As an H&S Advisor, you will report to the Health and Safety Manager and work within Operational Safety based in any of our Eastern, London, or Southern offices, including Bury St Edmunds, Borehamwood, Maidstone, Crawley, Ipswich, or Central London. You will be a permanent employee with a competitive salary of £61,723, plus a car allowance and a 3% bonus. In this role, you will provide competent occupational health and safety advice to business advisors, managers, staff, contractors, and the general public to promote the requirements of the Health & Safety management system. Your principal accountabilities will include providing occupational health and safety advice, working with the management team to implement realistic objectives, monitoring changes in legislation, ensuring compliance with H&S policies, contributing to the development of new procedures, and being an active champion for H&S culture change. You will also facilitate assessments of tools, equipment, and PPE, support incident investigations, engage with safety representatives, participate in relevant forums, and monitor compliance with safe systems of work. Additionally, you will undertake regular inspections and audits, assist with developing H&S training materials, review method statements, monitor workplace facilities, and provide H&S reporting requirements to the management team.
