We are recruiting for a weighbridge operator to join our transport team and to manage the weighbridge activity for our Wellingborough depot to ensure all incoming waste is compliant with the site permit and making sure weights are recorded correctly, relevant incoming and outgoing paperwork and consignment notes are completed and being the first point of contact for all visitors to site.
Key Responsibilities
1. To greet all visitors to site and ensure they are wearing appropriate PPE prior to entry.
2. To carry out all duty of care checks for third party customers, checking waste carrier license and consignment notes.
3. To update the EA returns spreadsheet for every Asbestos load in and pass to the Site Manager for EA Returns completion.
4. Weigh in vehicles and direct to relevant disposal points.
5. Working to health and safety, environmental other standards as they apply to the process.
6. Use radio frequency equipment as required.
7. Administration/data input tasks in support of the Transport Controller function.
8. Waste out Reports for Bulkers.
9. Perform other tasks as reasonably required by the line manager.
Skills & Experience - Essential and Desirable
1. Computer Literate
2. Previous weighbridge experience desirable
3. An awareness of health and safety.

Working hours are 6.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with an hourly rate of £12.53 per hour.
