To lead and support their region and thereby their nursery teams in having better oversight, direction and performance for each location. Strives to deliver/achieve outstanding ratings not only for every one of their settings, but also in line with their performance indicators. Collaborates fully and effectively with the key central/specialist teams that support the nurseries in achieving their key goals/experiences. Has a meaningful impact on the engagement and contribution of their teams and creates significant Fennies awareness within their markets and beyond. Ensures that their region can achieve and exceed their experiential and financial/commercial expectations. They do all this whilst being the embodiment of the beliefs that Fennies and the teams hold dear. Regional Manager Job Profile Constituent Elements/Key Areas and Accountabilities Recruitment Identify best talent within the market Supporting their Nursery Managers in talent attraction and hiring Collaborates with recruitment team on current and future activity and impact of current team performance Coordinate with nursery management on achieving expected/anticipated occupancy levels Learning and Development Development To ensure that all Nursery Management Teams are strong enough to run a successful nursery If required, book training for staff with the Learning and Development team and identify teams that require external training. To support Nursery Manager with providing training and development within the nursery To hold regular meetings with Nursery Managers and teams and attend regular regional meetings Complete regular reviews and one to ones with Nursery Management To identify weaknesses and concerns with Nursery Management Teams including the Deputy Manager and to report concerns to the Head of Early Years Liaise with HR regarding team performance procedures liaise with other Regional Managers regarding succession planning etc (the Talent Review) Coordinate New Nursery Managers training and review it at the end of probationary period Support Nursery Managers with succession planning at Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager level and develop outstanding performers into more senior positions Leadership and Engagement Role modelling Championing best-in-class in the industry Sharing best practice from across the industry Networking: to the benefit of their teams Utilising external events and creative activities Recognition of their teams Manages upwards: is the voice for their region in the wider business The Children’s Experience Facilitates the pedagogical leadership responsibilities for each setting Ensure environments are created that enable the best learning outcomes The right provision of equipment Enables the settings to put safety at the heart of all agendas and that this is paramount in the child’s time with us Ensures all environments in their nurseries provide the highest standard of learning and development for their children Completes Quality audits Room observations Key interaction with the Education team The Parent’s Experience Develops and nurtures great parental relationships Collaborates with marketing and admissions on specific events Ensures the appropriate response when complaints arise Highlights trends in complaints and feedback The Company’s Experience The commercials Deliverables and metrics Collaborates with the functions/experts on improvements/progress needed Partners with admissions team to achieve expected occupancy levels Operations Utilises and reviews the Dashboard for each location The nursery’s ability to function Troubleshooting Labour scheduling/crewing/team deployment Children’s experience Ensuring right procedures are being applied/followed Shift sheets Correct cost allocation Quality Stakeholder Considerations CHILDREN PARENTS Ensures every parent enjoys and experiences a great partnership at every nursery in their region.
