An opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy IT systems administrator, fixed term until 31st December 2025, part time 30 hours per week.
The trusts Pharmacy department, which work across both Ipswich and Colchester Hospital sites, has two Electronic medicines management system (System C’s Wellsky and EMIS healthcare Ascribe). The Colchester Site additionally utilises Ideagen (formally Q-pulse) quality management system. The current system administration is pivoting to an extended project regarding future systems and to ensure that these critical systems continue to be administered effectively, Pharmacy are looking for an experienced system administrator to oversee the day to day administration of the three named systems. You will immediately be given comprehensive training on all three systems, both by the system supplier and the current administrators. After completing training, you will provide day to day administrative functions and oversight to these three systems, ensuring scheduled reporting is undertaken and ad-hoc queries from pharmacy and other stakeholders are managed efficiently and effectively.
Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only. This will need to be discussed with your line manager.
Reporting to the Pharmacy Service manager, after training and orientation, you will manage the day to day administration of Wellsky, Ascribe and Q-Pulse, working with Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Quality assurance, Trust IT and System Suppliers as required.
You will provide specialist advice and support to ensure ongoing system availability, including planning system maintenance and administrative management of the named systems. This will involve working closely with Trust IT, System suppliers and Pharmacy teams.
You will ensure scheduled reports and ad-hoc queries are produced on time and as required. You will be first point of contact should issues arise and lead or appropriately escalate to ensure timely resolution.
You will use your analytical and communication skills to ensure that information you provide is presented in end user digestible format.
There will be a requirement to work on either site on occasion, travel expenses between your designated base site and the alternating site.
