Job Description Overview My client are seeking a dynamic Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team, to be based from their Thirsk or Bolton offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and construction, with a focus on structural steel, office, stadium, and healthcare projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting and diverse projects while collaborating with a motivated team. Day-to-day As a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will spend your days collaborating with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure that projects stay within budget and meet quality standards. You will analyse costs, prepare estimates and bills of quantities, and provide valuable insights to support project success. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in driving the financial management of our diverse construction projects. Experience within structural experience is essential, with a minimum of 3-4 years experience. Responsibilities Conduct cost and risk analysis for construction projects Prepare project budgets, estimates, and bills of quantities Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions Evaluate contractor and supplier bids and negotiate contracts Manage project costs through the entire construction process Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes Maintain accurate documentation and project records Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects Strong knowledge of structural steel, office, stadium, and healthcare construction Excellent communication and negotiation skills Professional accreditation or licensure is a plus
