What you’ll be doing: Qualified Teacher of the Deaf
As a Teacher of the Deaf you will be required to work with children with hearing needs of all ages (0-19), across all types of education settings, at one of our resourced provisions for primary aged deaf children, or at the child’s home.
You will support children to achieve the best educational outcomes, working with pupils and a range of partners including nurseries, schools, specialist health providers, parents and carers, and a range of voluntary organisations.
What we need from you
* To be passionate and committed to inclusion and meeting the needs of all children.
* To be a qualified teacher of the deaf or be willing to work towards this qualification, within 3 years.
* Work flexibly across multiple settings empowering partners to deliver the best outcomes for our children.
* To be positive, resilient, flexible, and work well within our happy team.
* The ability to communicate with children and young people using British Sign Language would be an advantage.
* A valid full UK driving licence and access to your own transport (mileage will be paid)
* To share the vision and the values of The Big Life group.
